My friend recently bought a Calvin Klein Coat from Macy’s online store and she loves it. Me too. It’s a gorgeous coat although I may have picked out a different color. The color is sort of a ginger ale beige which isn’t bad but I’m more of a vivid person. Anyways, I’ll post a few pictures from my iphone so you can see first hand. Don’t let the pictures dissuade you. I’m definitely not a photographer or expert in portrait settings so it won’t look like it’s worn by the models in the ad. Just so you know the coloring may be off a little bit because of the room lighting, but that gives you an idea. Now I know she said the Calvin Klein coat was on sale, but I don’t know for how much. I went to Macy’s to try and do a little investigative reporting but all I could find was a different kind of women’s coat by Calvin Klein. It’s called the “Calvin Klein Coat, Short Satin Down” and it’s on clearance for $69.99 marked down from $155. That’s a pretty huge savings of over 50% if you’re currently looking. And I have something that will make it an even better deal.
Right now if you buy anything from Macy’s online, you will get a discount depending on how much you buy. The coupons go $5 off if you buy $25 worth of merchandise, $10 off if you buy $50, $15 off when you purchase $75, and $25 or 25% off whenever you buy $100 worth of clothes or whatever. That’s 20% off even if you just buy something for $25! Great deals at Macy’s for the New Year for sure.
I just looked to the site and it says they’re having a site wide clearance of 25% to 70% off original prices. I’m not sure if this is in addition to their checkout coupon codes. Also, I don’t see free shipping advertised but I did buy some clothes there before Christmas and I know that once I got past a certain dollar amount threshold, shipping was free.
Anyways, didn’t mean to divert the conversation but you had to know of the new fabulous Macy’s sale or else I wouldn’t be a good blogger. Back to my friends coat. I’ve put it on and the lining is super soft and the coat is overall very warm and ultra comfortable. It’s a little puffy but the good kind of puffy – not Marshmellow Man from Ghostbusters puffy. Coats for women are generally supposed to be slimming and I don’t think you’ll have a problem with this one.
I like the way the Calvin Klein Women’s jacket looks and feels (yes I’ve tried it on) and would highly recommend it to you. It might be sold out at Macy’s but I’m sure another retailer like Dillards or CalvinKlein.com will carry it. Plus, Macy’s sometimes gets womens winter coats back in if sell out fast. Oh also, on the length, it’s about medium – not knee long but not waist short.
