Ok, lets admit it, not everyone is a fan of quilted coats. But this Steve Madden coat I came across at Macy’s is just too adorable for a trendsetting woman to let pass. Plus, it is a perfect fashionable woman’s coat even on the dead of winter. Pair it up with black thermal leggings, knee high boots and you are good to go!
It comes in the two basic colors, which are black and white, so there’s no way you can go wrong whichever you pick since it will go well with anything you already have in your closet. The outer part of the quilted coat is made of durable nylon and polyester for the lining. It has a removable hood with faux fur trimming detail. It has exposed front zipper with pull and exposed zipper slit pockets. It also has additional flap patch pockets on the chest and hips, which surprisingly does not add any “puff” like most flap pockets do. And here’s the best feature of this outfit, it is a belted quilted coat! The belt loops around the waist, which makes you have that curve every woman is looking for when wearing such a heavy yet functional woman’s coat. The belt is accentuated with a chrome buckle. Its length is approximately 32 inches from center back neckline, which roughly runs down to mid-thigh. There is no need for dry cleaning service, it is a machine washable coat.
The only downside to this wonderful coat is that it is a heavy jacket compared to, lets say, a pea coat. And maybe the price tag it comes along with. It will cost you $205.00 to own this beauty. But for a lovely quilted coat that is machine washable, it is totally worth it. At the same time, it will surely keep you warm this winter without sacrificing fashion.
